ROLLIN' DOWN CASSIAR HIGHWAY - DAY 1

Yet another beautiful drive - from Watson Lake in the Yukon to Istuk
in British Columbia.

FINDING YOUR WAY

Today we traveled from Whitehorse to Watson Lake crossing another
continental divide.
The big attraction in Watson Lake is the Signpost Forest where there
are over 60,000 signs posted from all over the world.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

REPEAT OF A BEAUTIFUL DRIVE

We returned to Whitehorse in the Yukon via the Klondike Highway. It
was as beautiful the second time around as the first time we traveled
this way.

ROAMING AROUND SKAGWAY, ALASKA

Monday, August 10, 2009

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DRIVE YET

We drove 118 miles from Whitehorse, Yukon to Skagway, Alaska along
the Klondike Highway.
The drive winds through the mountains of the Yukon and British
Columbia before crossing into Alaska.
I guess the fireweed legend is true; when the fireweed blooms at the
top of the stem, the summer is almost over.
Today the temperature was in the 50s most of the day.

WOLF CREEK, THE YUKON RIVER AND WHITEHORSE, YUKON

The day has been rainy off and on. We did manage to get in a hike on
the Wolf Creek Trail near our campsite before going into town to
explore the city.
